THE PADDOCK MONTEREY WILL MAKE ITS INAUGURAL DEBUT WITH AN EXCITING LINEUP AND DISTINCT POINT OF VIEW DURING MONTEREY CAR WEEK 2025

MONTEREY, CALIFORNIA (July 11, 2025) — Making its official debut this year, The Paddock Monterey is carving out a compelling new space in the Monterey Car Week landscape. With a carefully timed schedule, a welcoming approach to marques and eras, and a curated selection of truly fascinating automobiles, The Paddock offers something different: a relaxed, elevated experience for collectors, car clubs, and curious connoisseurs alike.

“What’s emerging on our show field is something truly special,” said Clarence Habovstak, Car Selection Committee Chairman. “We’re seeing rare and remarkable cars with real stories and personality—and owners who want to share them in a more relaxed, thoughtful setting.”

Scheduled for Friday, August 15, 2025, from 3:00 to 8:00 PM at Bayonet Black Horse, The Paddock invites guests to wind down their Friday with an event that does not ask them to choose between traditions—it lets them explore something new. Whether you have just come from The Quail, WeatherTech Raceway Laguna Seca, or a morning full of marque meetups, The Paddock offers a stylish, crowd-friendly way to close out the day.

“From its inception, The Paddock was never meant to mimic existing shows—and that is precisely why it is already developing a character all its own,” says Habovstak. “With no rigid class structures or formal judging, the event has become a haven for remarkable cars that do not always find a natural home elsewhere during Car Week. Vehicles with stories. With presence. With attitude.”

This year’s field reflects that evolution. An Aston Martin DB5 “Goldfinger Tribute,” brought to life by Kevin Kay Restorations, promises a cinematic spectacle, complete with functional gadgets made famous on screen. “Bringing this car to The Paddock Monterey is a dream come true,” said Joe Kaminkow, owner of the DB5 Goldfinger Tribute. “It’s a chance to celebrate craftsmanship, history, and just plain fun—all in front of a crowd that will appreciate every detail.”

The one-of-a-kind Black Cat, a radical reimagining of a Jaguar created by celebrated fabricator Rob Ida, will stun audiences with its form and fabrication. “The Black Cat is more than a car—it’s an idea brought to life,” said Rob Ida. “I’m thrilled to bring it to The Paddock Monterey, where innovation and passion are celebrated in equal measure.”

Motorsports Hall of Fame inductee and legendary designer Peter Brock, known for his groundbreaking work with the Shelby Daytona Coupe, Corvette Sting Ray, and BRE Datsun racecars, will be on hand at The Paddock Monterey to show his latest creation: the sleek, aerodynamic Aerovault trailer. “The Paddock Monterey is not just another show field. It is a place where design and engineering are truly appreciated,” said Brock. “It’s the perfect setting to share something as purpose-built and personal as the Aerovault.”

Saleen Automotive, a presenting sponsor of the event, will host an impressive pavilion commemorating the 25th anniversary of the legendary Saleen S7. From customer cars to heritage prototypes, this electrifying display of American-built supercars anchors the performance energy of the field—and celebrates one of the boldest names in modern automotive history.

The celebration continues with a curated 50-car display by RADwood, the popular nationwide series that celebrates automotive culture from the 1980s and 1990s. Expect period-correct style, music spun by a live DJ, and RADwood guests decked out in retro flair to match their equally unforgettable rides.

A gathering of impressive Dutch-built Spyker cars is building in observance of the marque’s 25th anniversary. More than just a show field, The Paddock is becoming a curated counterpoint to the traditional Concours, a refined-yet-flexible space where personality matters, engineering has room to breathe, and context counts. It is where the curious come to look twice.

While the cars remain the stars, The Paddock Monterey also offers a first-class hospitality experience.
