We're one week closer to coming together once again in Monterey for and The Paddock Monterey (Friday, August 14, 3-8pm) and Concorso Italiano (Saturday, August 15, 10-4pm).

Each year, we're reminded how fortunate we are to bring together automotive enthusiasts from around the world to celebrate the people, stories, and machines that make car culture so unique and special.

In this edition, we're highlighting a few of our returning special guests and sharing the stories behind some of the automobiles that will be joining us this August.

EYE CATCHING RIDES AT THE PADDOCK MONTEREY

Joining us for The Paddock Monterey is a custom 51 Cadillac Coupe DeVille. Built for Moises "Moe" Oliveira by Body by Hank in Watsonville, California, it was a finalist for the 2024 Goodguys Custom of the Year award.

Originally intended as a stock restoration, Moe reimagined the project as a modern custom, featuring a four-inch rear roof chop, a Street Rod Garage chassis with Ridetech air suspension, Wilwood disc brakes, and 17-inch Colorado Custom wheels inspired by Cadillac's iconic Sombrero wheel covers. Power comes from an LS3 engine built by Dave's Speed & Custom, combining classic Cadillac elegance with contemporary performance.

Expect plenty of creativity at The Paddock Monterey 2026, from bold wraps to hand-painted art, will take center stage. Among them is a 1956 Mercedes-Benz 190SL, Celestial Carnival, a one-of-a-kind creation by Arizona artist Bill Dambrova. The owner was inspired by the BMW art cars and other cars like Janis Joplin's famous Porsche and the Mercedes 220 cars painted by Hiro Yamagata. He worked with Dambrova on the concept of "500 million years in the future.” Dambrova spent more than 200 hours transforming the car. It's just one example of the individuality and imagination you'll discover on the field this August.
